BD-P1000 Message 'This Blu-ray Disc has been manufactured with latest Blu-ray standards...your player may require an update' Displays
Some newly released Blu-ray Disc titles are displaying a variation of these messages when playing. The message can vary, example below:
'This Blu-ray Disc has been manufactured to the latest Blu-ray Disc standards. To ensure the best possible viewing experience, your Blu-ray Player may require an update'
These messages are encoded by movie studios on some discs as disclaimers during disc playback for all Blu-ray Players regardless of the manufacturer. When this message displays it typically remains on the screen for a couple of seconds before displaying a black screen followed by an FBI warning and then a black screen before the movie studio logo appears and is shortly followed by the Blu-ray Disc Main Menu.
The only type of message displayed by your Blu-ray Player will be a 'Pop-Up' message. It is very rare that our players display this pop up message but if it does it will read 'This Disc Cannot Be Played'. See below for more details.

'This Disc Cannot Be Played' Message Displays When Inserting a DVD/BD Disc
This message can sometimes appear due to the following:
- Blu-ray Firmware is not up to date: Update the firmware on your Blu-ray Player to resolve. Installing the latest firmware update will enable your player to play the latest titles. BD disc using new DRM keys or Java encoding may require a player firmware update, check samsung.com/support and enter your model number to view the latest version available. If your Blu-ray Player is connected to the network go to Settings>Software>Firmware Update and check for any firmware updates.
- Scratched or damaged disc: Try another Disc of the same title, or try the same disc in a different Blu-ray player.
- Disc Region not supported: Samsung Blu-ray players sold in the US support Region 1 for DVD, and Region A for BD. Check the DVD/BD disc cover for Region number.
